The milestone of Kuhndorf is a landmarked milestone in the area of ​​the district Kuhndorf of the municipality of Gutenborn in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments , the milestone is recorded as a minor monument under registration number 094 66221 .

The milestone of Kuhndorf is a Prussian quarter milestone from the early 19th century in the form of a small bell. It stands on the old Bundesstraße 2 , the forerunner of the road was Reichsstraße 2 , built in the 1930s, on the eastern side of the road before the beginning of the route to Zeitz . It is part of the series between Zeitz and Heuckewalde , where it is one of three preserved Prussian milestones (next to the whole milestone Schellbach and the half milestone Loitzschütz ). The milestone is a testimony to the systematic route and distance information system in Prussian traffic history and was placed under monument protection in 2017.

Historically, the section between Zeitz and Giebelroth belongs to the Chaussee from Berlin via Halle (Saale) and Weißenfels to Giebelroth, then and now on the border with Thuringia. In 2009 the stone, which is located between Zeitz, Kuhndorf, Golben and Bergisdorf, was restored. Before that, in the 1990s it was parked on a mound of rubble during road construction work, then sunk leaning against a tree. During the construction of the Zeitz bypass, it was moved 50 meters to the north, but remained on the eastern side of the road.
