My body is mine!

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

My body is mine! is and was "the claim to socially largely denied self-determination about one's own body" and "a key point of the women's movement from the start".

My body is mine! is also a theater education prevention program for children, which serves to protect against sexual abuse. It is aimed at children in their third and fourth school years. It is an interactive scene collage in three parts. The program was developed by the theater pedagogical workshop in Osnabrück . It is carried out nationwide in many schools, especially in the North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony area .

A book of the same name My body is mine! An educational book from PRO FAMILIA. by Dagmar Geisler was published by Loewe Verlag in 2002.

In June 2010, a mother was put into compulsory detention for 15 days for refusing to allow her child to attend the play; she was a Baptist . The conservative writer Eva Herman criticized this process and stressed that sex education in the privacy of the child (Article 1 and 2 Basic Law ), to the right of education engaging the parents (Art. 6 II set 1GG) and in the family, according to a decision of the Federal Constitutional Court (BVerfGE 93, 1ff / 17), cooperation between school and parents is required; in case of doubt, the parents should be given priority.
