Meinhard Rüdenauer

Meinhard Rüdenauer (born June 30, 1941 in Vienna ) is an Austrian composer, author, cultural journalist and director of the Vienna Mozart Company and cultural organizer.

Meinhard Rüdenauer studied composition at the Vienna Music Academy (now: Music University) and at the Salzburg Mozarteum as well as music science at the University of Vienna. Compositional work with a focus on chamber music, dance pieces and children's operas. Active as a cultural journalist for Kronenzeitung Wien and other Austrian and international journals (e.g. Dancemagazine New York). Founder and management of the Vienna Mozart Company. Vice President of ECS - European Cultural Services. Awards: Promotion Prize of the City of Vienna; Grain price; the children's opera "Zauberbär und Wünschelstimme" (Carinthian Summer, ORF) was awarded the Austrian Intendant Prize in 1984 (best production of a new opera of the year).
