The MeisterWerke Schulte GmbH is a family business of producing timber industry based in the Sauerland in Most in Soest district with about 600 employees and an annual turnover of € 155 million (2015).
history
Josef Schulte laid the foundation stone for the company in 1930 with his joinery and joinery . Starting with products made of wood for agriculture , he and his son Johannes Schulte developed into a producer of floor coverings, wall and ceiling panels.
After Johannes Schulte took over the business in 1972, the development of new technologies continued, e.g. B. the development of the first ceiling edging in the same year; the first directly coated laminate floor followed in 1992. The company, which at that time still operated under the name Meister-Leisten , launched the invention of the first "quiet" laminate floor in 1999.
The enterprise
In 2002 Anja Schulte founded the company Schulte Raum, which in 2006 was merged with Meister-Leisten under the roof of the newly renamed MeisterWerke Schulte GmbH. The merger resulted in two sales brands: Schulte Raum sees itself as an interior design brand for the furniture and flooring trade , MEISTER concentrates on the wood and building materials trade.
MeisterWerke Schulte GmbH expanded its management in 2009 ; With Johannes Schulte, Guido Schulte and Ludger Schindler, the company has three managing directors for the first time. Today (2010) over 600 employees produce mostly parquet, laminate, cork and linoleum floors, wall and ceiling panels and strips on a factory area of 430,000 m². The export share is 40%. It is produced exclusively in Germany.
The company has been producing and selling plasticizer-free designer floors and nadura products (floors and panels) since 2012 . These products are based on the wood powder technology of the Swedish company Välinge Innovation AG and consist of a mixture of wood fibers, pigments, corundum and melamine binders, which is pressed onto a carrier plate with high pressure. This makes three-dimensional products possible, which u. a. are hard-wearing and washable.

In June 2012 the company was accepted into the guild of "Ethics in business", a business initiative that supports medium-sized companies in acting fairly, sustainably and responsibly.
