Master Pippin is a biographical story by the preacher Franz Eugen Schlachter , which was first published in his magazine Brosamen von des Herr Tisch as a continuation story and then in 1898 as a booklet in butcher's publisher "Brosamen". It is the story of the shoemaker Anton Hippin. It begins in 1820 and tells the story of a shoemaker's journeyman from the Black Forest, who got to know the Christian Heinrich Zellers educational institution in Beuggen on his travels and thus came into contact with the living faith for the first time. He then comes to Avignon in France , from where he also visits the Cevennes and learns something from Cyprian Vignes , the healer of the sick. It is the story of a devout journeyman who comes to rest spiritually and personally after an eventful life.
