Cyprian Vignes

Cyprian Vignes (* 1824 ; † 1908 ) was a religious, evangelical, ecclesiastical man from the Cevenned village of Vialas, who is said to have healed the faith.

The healings he had made became known through the magazine by Franz Eugen Schlachter, Brosamen von des Herr Tisch . Schlachter brought reports of these healings for years and visited Vialas twice.

In 1895 Schlachter published a book called Good News for the Sick , in which he also reported on these healings and his first journey. Then followed within the series "The Old Gospel" No. 3 the text " A resurrected gift "

Vignes is said to have been a wealthy but very simple and modest Cevennes farmer. He had a simple belief that God would heal the sick. At times, Vignes is said to have received up to approx. 2000 letters per year from people seeking help. He himself made no mistake about himself and pointed out God to the visitors and the supplicants. Not only was he a healing preacher, but he also tried to lead people to lead healthy lives.
