Lee Towers
Leendert "Leen" Huijzer (born March 23, 1946 in Ridderkerk ), better known as Lee Towers , is a Rotterdam singer who celebrated his greatest success with his version of the song You'll Never Walk Alone .
Lee Towers was discovered in 1975 by the Dutch music producer and television presenter Willem Duys as a so-called "singing crane machinist".
In 1980 he gave his first major concert at De Doelen in Rotterdam, followed by another sold-out concert in 1981 at Carré in Amsterdam . Then he dared to jump into the Ahoy , where he filled the entire hall twice.
In later years many concerts and shows followed in the Ahoy , in which he also duets a. a. sang with Anita Meyer .
