A sculptor who was probably active around 1500 is known as the master of the Freiberg Cathedral Apostles . The artist is not known for certain by name and got his emergency name after four apostle figures that he made for the Freiberg Cathedral in Saxony. He may be identical to the carver Philipp Koch, who can be traced back to between 1470 and 1536. From this z. B. also the smelter altar in the Freiberg Petrikirche .

The other similar figures in the apostle row there are said to come from his workshop. They were created between 1515 and 1520.
