As a master of Mindelheimer clan one is late medieval carver called.

He created a late Gothic wooden relief of the Holy Family , the so-called Mindelheim clan . The brightly and richly painted work shows Jesus surrounded by his parents and ancestors and was created around 1510. In 1640 it was bought from Memmingen by the Mindelheimers. Today it is located in the Liebfrauenkapelle west of the old town of Mindelheim .

A few other works are assigned to the master of the Mindelheim clan , including a group of saints in the Germanic National Museum . His Swabian parallel fold style, which was characteristic of his time, is characterized by large forms. The work of the master and his eye for details and naturalism already indicate a transition from the art of the late Gothic to that of the Renaissance .
