Master of the Neudenauer apostle group
An artist is sometimes referred to as the master of the Neudenau apostles group who created the clay figures of Jesus with the apostles from the Gangolf chapel in Neudenau ( Heilbronn district , Baden-Württemberg ) in the 15th century . Stylistically, the figures belong to the Soft Style and are one of the few surviving examples of religious figures made of clay in the German-speaking area of the Middle Ages. They were probably made around 1420.
Another example of such Gothic art can be seen in Nuremberg, the work of the master of the Nuremberg apostles , who is also unknown by name .
