Master with the lily

A pewter caster who worked in Nuremberg from the middle of the 17th century is known as the master of the lily . Besides the opened Nuremberg city arms as a guarantee of origin and Zinnmarke the Nuremberg pewterers used usually no individual MeisterMarken their sometimes very ornate works, a few of working in the 17th century founders set but mitgegossene or also whipped motif as the master with the lily a Lily; this gave him his emergency name . Examples of the craftsman's work are in the collection of the Germanisches Nationalmuseum in Nuremberg and are privately owned.
