Master of Albocasser
As a master of Albocasser ( Spanish Mestre d'Albocàsser ) in which is Kunstwissenschaft a painter of the Spanish- Catalan early Gothic designated. The emergency name of the artist, who worked towards the end of the 14th and beginning of the 15th century, refers to his work for the Ermita dels Sants Joans church in the town of Albocàsser in what is now the Valencia region in Spain. This altarpiece , created around 1410 in the vicinity of the Kingdom of Valencia , shows Saints John the Baptist and John the Evangelist surrounded by scenes from the life of Jesus . The artist may be Pere Lembrí, a well-known painter of similar works in the region, done in the same style.
