In this television series, only silent films were re-edited that had already been broadcast in the 1970s in the series Fathers of Clothes and Men without Nerves .

Leading actors included Billy Bevan , Andy Clyde , Larry Semon , Charley Chase , Harry Langdon , Bobby Dunn , Edgar Kennedy and James Finlayson . Oliver Hardy (each in a supporting role) also appeared in two episodes in the series . The speaker in the voice-over procedure was Hans Elwenspoek in the first 20 episodes and Hans Jürgen Diedrich in episodes 21 to 40 .

In the opening credits a book was leafed through which contained pictures of scenes from some of the silent films and information about the German adaptation. It was a modified version of the opening credits of master scenes .

Master scenes of the clothes were broadcast on Friday in the pre-evening program.
