Mel languages

The Mel languages form a branch of the Niger-Congo languages and are common in the West African countries of Guinea-Bissau , Guinea , Liberia and Sierra Leone . The most widespread individual language is Temne of the people of the same name with more than 1.85 million native speakers in Sierra Leone alone (as of 2015).
