Melanie Matthews

Melanie Matthews (born August 6, 1986 in Surrey , British Columbia ) is a Canadian softball player .

Matthews took part in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing for the Canadian team and was a member of the 2006 World Cup team. She was successful in the Canada Cup several times , until 2008 she was part of the Canadian championship team five times.

At the 2008 Olympics, she was the second female athlete to manage a run against the US team during the 2004 and 2008 Olympics . She reached the semi-finals with her team, but did not win a medal.
