Melchior Schedler
Melchior Schedler (* 1936 in Oberammergau ) is a German radio play writer, theater writer and painter.
After completing his studies, Schedler worked as a set designer, television maker, theater critic, non-fiction author and dramaturge. He is particularly dedicated to children's theater and, with Schlachte die blau Elefanten, published one of the most discussed non-fiction books on this topic: His harsh but well-founded examination of the children's theater and puppet theater situation of the 1970s earned him great prestige even among the target people of his criticism .
He later became known primarily for his 43 radio plays. His piece Cordoba or the art of bathing , produced by Süddeutscher Rundfunk in 1983 , was voted radio play of the decade in 1987 .
