Melchior Stubendorff

Melchior Stubendorff (* around 1539 in Halle (Saale) ; † 1609 ) was a German Lutheran theologian and Brunswick court preacher.

Life

Melchior Stubendorff was the first pastor at St. Stephen's Church in Goslar in 1575, second pastor at the St. Aegidien market church in Osterode in 1576 and pastor in Katlenburg in 1584 . In Katlenburg he also worked as court preacher to Philip II of Braunschweig-Grubenhagen until the residence was moved to Herzberg Castle (1595) .
