Registration confirmation

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Example of a registration confirmation

As a certificate of registration or registration confirmation , refers to the application in a residence at the registration office at the request issued document that serves as proof of the message. In connection with a passport, it serves as official proof of the owner's address and can therefore replace the identity card . A confirmation of registration is also sometimes necessary for secondary residences , as these, unlike the main residence, are not entered in the identity card. In the confirmation of registration, among other things, the current main or secondary residence, any previously existing residence, the name and the date of birth are entered. The legal basis for this is Section 24 (2) of the Federal Registration Act (until 2015, the registration law of the respective federal state , e.g. in Baden-Württemberg, Section 18 (7) of the Registration Act was the legal basis).
