Melike Demirağ

Melike Demirağ (* 1956 in Isparta , Turkey ) is a Turkish pop musician and film actress. Her father is the successful Turkish filmmaker Turgut Demirağ .

Melike Demirağ published successful pop music singles from 1974, later albums, was seen on Turkish television and took part in the preliminary round of the 1978 Eurovision Song Contest . As an actress, the musician worked in Yılmaz Güney's films in addition to a film by her father in the 1970s : Arkadaş (1974) and Sürü - Die Herd (1978). From 1980 Demirağ lived in German exile for almost twelve years , during which she hardly published in Turkey. B. sang a record with Şivan Perwer's songs together with Perwer at a German record company. After her return to Turkey in 1991, Melike Demirağ began publishing music there again, and was involved in German productions, for example with half a dozen songs on Lutz Görner's audio book Nazim Hikmet - Ich liebe mein Land (2002) , but still sporadically.
