Melitta (saint)
Melitta (also: Melissa or Mela ) († around 150 in today's Veliki Preslav in Bulgaria ) was a Christian martyr and saint .
According to legend, Melitta is said to have brought down idols through her prayer. She is said to have been captured and tortured under Emperor Antoninus Pius and eventually suffered a martyr's death by beheading.
The saint's feast day is September 15th . Their relics are venerated on the Greek island of Lemnos .
