Mellie Francon (born January 24, 1982 in La Chaux-de-Fonds ) is a Swiss snowboarder .

Francon qualified alongside the future Olympic champion Tanja Frieden and Olivia Nobs for the Swiss team in boardercross for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin . She finally won the small final and finished fifth.

In the Snowboard World Cup 2007/08 she finished five times on the podium (twice 2nd place, three times 3rd place), which was enough for 3rd place in the overall World Cup of boardercrossers. In the current season Francon finished second in the World Cup race in Chapelco .

At the Snowboard World Championships 2009 in Gangwon she was third in the discipline snowboard cross .

At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver , Francon finished seventh in snowboard cross. In qualifying, she achieved the fastest time twice. She also won the quarter-finals with ease. In the semifinals she made a mistake and was last in her run. In the small final she reached 3rd place after another braking and thus seventh place.
