Rueda is a municipality with 1254 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019) in the province of Valladolid , in the Spanish autonomous community of Castile-León , about 30 km southwest of the provincial capital Valladolid .
The place is the center of the wine-growing region Rueda (DO) . Mainly the Verdejo and Sauvignon Blanc grapes are processed.
