The Menai Straits ( English : Menai Strait , Welsh : Afon Menai ) is a strait that the island of Anglesey from the Welsh separates mainland. It is about 25 kilometers long and is spanned by two bridges - the Britannia Bridge and the Menai Bridge . On the mainland, the district of Arfon is across from Anglesey.
