Menhir d'Ozo

The menhir d'Ozo or menhir of Ozo stands in the middle of a field in Durbuy in the north of the province of Luxembourg in Belgium .

The menhir stands about 1.0 km northeast of the village of Ozo, on the north side of the valley, in which the megalithic complexes at Wéris are also located. It marks the northern border of the megalithic area of Wéris.

The slender menhir, around 3.4 m high, 2.2 m wide and 0.7 m thick, weighs around 6.5 tons. In 1942 the farmer on whose land the stone is standing tried to blow up the pudding stone menhir . This damaged the tip of the menhir. In 1999 the stone was recognized as a menhir, excavated, repaired and moved to its original location.
