The Menhir de l'Ormorice , which was erected again in 1966, is located a little west of Montboissier and north of Bonneval , near Chartres in the Eure-et-Loir department in France .

It is a sandstone menhir about 3.8 meters high and weighing about 8.5 tons, which stands in a field about ten meters from the Hof l'Ormorice north to the Bois de l'Ile, near the Loir and a TGV railway line.

The ground clearance at the base indicated that it was originally only about 60 centimeters deep in the ground and was wedged with stones. The monument was placed in its original orientation on a cement base covered with earth.

The Dolmen Pierre de Villebon (also called Pierre de Beaumont ) - at Trizay-lès-Bonneval - is nearby.
