The approximately three meter high anthropomorphic menhir from Beisenerbierg stands on a ridge in the municipality of Mersch in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg .

The stone is made from local sandstone with a high iron content , which is about two kilometers away. It is roughly anthropomorphic through the suggestion of a waist, two shoulders and a head. A pit discovered during the 2001 excavation allows its age to be identified as Neolithic .
