Menhir from Bains Hill

The menhir near the beach of Bains Hill (also called Bain's Hill, Stinnin Stane, Maidenhead Bay, Pan Knowes or Rab's Knowe) is a dolerite menhir ( English standing stone ) on the south side of Maidenhead Bay, west of Maidens near Turnberry in South Ayrshire in Scotland .

The approximately 1.7 meters high and at the base 1.1 by 0.8 meters measuring elegantly shaped stone occupies a prominent position on a small hill at the northernmost point of the Turnberry golf course. The name "Stinnin Stane" is not in use locally.
