The Doonfeeny menhir ( Irish also called Cloch Fada , German  "long stone" ) is located about 3.2 kilometers northwest of Ballycastle in an old cemetery near the old church of Doonfeeny ( Irish Dún Fhíne ) in the north of County Mayo in Ireland .

The highest Menhir ( English Standing Stone ) in County Mayo is about 4.5 meters tall, slender, sharp-edged column with a cross-section of 0.4 x 0.2 meters. The stone is a Christianized megalithic monument that was provided with two crosses before the 11th century. A single-lined Latin cross with forked ends and a horizontal base rests over a double -lined Maltese cross with a curved "bird's head" design. The column is also said to have weathered signs of an Oghamin script .

Nearby are the Céide Fields , the Menhir of Carrowtrasna and the Court Tomb of Ballyglass .
