Merlin Schütte (born May 10, 1996 in Rheine ) is a German football player .
Career
Merlin Schütte played in the youth department of FC Twente Enschede in the neighboring Netherlands from the age of twelve . He made his debut for Jong Twente in 2014 in the second-rate Eerste Divisie . From the 2014/15 season he was part of the regular squad and scored five goals in 34 games. After another year in Enschede, he moved back to Germany for the fifth division team SuS Neuenkirchen for the 2016/17 season , with whom he was relegated from the Oberliga Westfalen . For the 2018/19 season he moved to the top division SC Spelle-Venhaus . Despite a very successful season with 17 goals in 29 missions, he left the club at the end of the season. Schütte initially remained without a club until he joined his youth club SV Mesum in October 2019.
