Mezhdusharsky Island ( Russian Междушарский остров ) is the third largest island of the to Russia belonging Novaya Zemlya -Archipels in the Arctic Ocean . Administratively it belongs to Arkhangelsk Oblast and is uninhabited.

Meschduscharski is located 2 km off the southwest coast of the much larger South Island Novaya Zemlya and thus in the Barents Sea . The island is about 53 km long, up to 25 km wide and has an area of 742 km². The landscape of the island, which is only about 100 m high, is characterized by tundra interspersed with many small lakes and ponds .
