MeshPubMed

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

MeshPubMed is the second knowledge-based search engine for biomedical texts after GoPubMed . The Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) are used as a "table of contents" to structure the approx. 26 million articles in the MEDLINE database (as of 2019). The search engine allows users to find relevant search results much faster.

The technology used in MeshPubMed is generic and can in principle be used for any text and any knowledge base ( ontology ). It was developed by a working group led by Michael Schroeder at the Technical University of Dresden and Transinsight , a spin-off from the TU.
