Messeturm Munich
The Munich Trade Fair Tower is a steel tower on the grounds of the New Munich Trade Fair Center . It is located at the east entrance of the exhibition center in the Riem district .
It consists of a 86-meter-high tubular steel structure to which concentric rings are attached on several levels and suspended from ropes. Above, the Munich Messeturm bears the logo of the new Munich Trade Fair, which consists of 28 diamonds . The Munich exhibition tower was erected with the help of a 550 t / 800 t lattice mast truck crane .
The originally existing light installation (over 1,000,000 light-emitting diodes ) was dismantled after the diodes had gradually worn out due to solar radiation and a cable fire.
