Meta Kohnke

Meta Kohnke (born October 15, 1932 ) is a German archivist and historian .

Life

After attending school and attending the Institute for Archive Studies in Potsdam , which she graduated from in 1958, Meta Kohnke received her doctorate in 1968 at the Humboldt University in Berlin with the dissertation The Prussian Cabinet Ministry. A contribution to the history of the state apparatus in late feudalism . Until the beginning of the 1990s she worked in the Merseburg office of the Central State Archive of the GDR, which was incorporated into the Secret State Archive of Prussian Cultural Heritage in Berlin and was relocated from Merseburg to Berlin in 1993.
