Metalkes
Metalkes ( ancient Greek Μετάλκης Metálkēs ) is in Greek mythology one of the 50 sons of Aigyptos , the twin brother of Danaos , and is therefore one of the Aegyptiads .
According to the poorly preserved, incomplete list of 47 of 50 Danaid pairings in the fabulae of Hyginus Mythographus , he was killed by his wife Cleopatra on their wedding night . Cleopatra (Cleopatra) is married to Agenor in the library of Apollodorus . The library has a similar-sounding name, Menalkes , which is , however, associated with Danaide Adyte as wife.
