Mete Aslan
Mete Aslan (born April 25, 1944 in Antakya ) is a Turkish politician and former mayor of İskenderun .
After 17 years of political experience in western Turkey's cities such as Istanbul and Konya , Mete Aslan decided to run for Mayor of İskenderun in Hatay Province in the 1989 local elections. He only narrowly lost this election, in which Aslan was a member of the ANAP . Due to his defeat, Mete Aslan initially worked in Niğde and Elazığ in business until he ran again in 1994 for the office of Mayor of Iskenderun. In this election, the ANAP politician won, just like the elections in 1999 and 2004.
