The Methuen Cove is a bay on the south coast of Laurie Iceland in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It lies between Cape Anderson and Cape Whitson .
It was mapped during the Scottish National Antarctic Expedition (1902-1904) under the direction of the Scottish polar explorer William Speirs Bruce . Bruce named the bay after the lawyer Harry Methuen, who, together with Thomas B. Whitson (1869–1948), later Lord Provost of Edinburgh , had taken care of the expedition's financial needs.
