Nanganallur Road Metro Station

The metro station Nanganallur Road ( Tamil : நங்கநல்லூர் சாலை ) is an above-ground subway station of Chennai Metro . It is served by the blue line .

The Nanganallur Road metro station is located on the border of the Alandur and St. Thomas Mount districts on the Grand Southern Trunk Road in southern Chennais. Very close to the Metro station, the officer of the Academy is the Indian Armed Forces ( Officers Training Academy ). The Nanganallur Road station is designed as an elevated station and is located above the Grand Southern Trunk Road. After opening, the station was criticized for having only one entry, making it difficult for passengers to get to the other side of the busy Grand Southern Trunk Road.

The Nanganallur Road station opened on September 21, 2016 as part of the first section of the Blue Line.
