Meenambakkam metro station
The metro station Meenambakkam ( Tamil : மீனம்பாக்கம் ) is an above-ground subway station of Chennai Metro . It is served by the blue line .
The Meenambakkam metro station is located in the Meenambakkam district in southern Chennai. The station is on the Grand Southern Trunk Road across from the Chennai Airport cargo terminal . The Meenambakkam station , which from the Chennaier suburban railway is operated is about 500 meters away. The Meenambakkam station is designed as an elevated station and is located above the Grand Southern Trunk Road.
The Meenambakkam station was opened on September 21, 2016 as part of the first section of the Blue Line.
