Meyer Abeles
Meyer Abeles (* approx. 1806 in Nikolsburg , Austrian Empire ; † August 23, 1887 in Kittsee , Burgenland , Austria-Hungary ) was a rabbi and Dayan .
Life
With his Talmud studies he occupied himself in Pressburg as a student of Moses Sofer . He later married a daughter of the Dajan Mendel Katz († April 3, 1847) in Kittsee and from 1837 held the office of a Dajan himself. From 1844 or 1847 he also worked as a rabbi in Kittsee.
