Meyer's Small Conversation Lexicon

Meyers Kleines Konversations-Lexikon is a reference work of general content in German, which was published by the Bibliographisches Institut in several editions and to varying degrees in the 19th and 20th centuries . It is named after its founder Joseph Meyer and was conceived as a smaller and cheaper version of the larger Meyers Konversations-Lexikon .

Outputs (examples)

The 5th edition with three volumes appeared in 1892/1893 and contained over 100 supplements, maps and picture panels in woodcut, copperplate engraving and chromolithography .

The 7th edition in 6 volumes appeared in 1906/1909 with more than 130,000 articles and references. This edition contained 639 picture panels, maps and plans as well as 127 text supplements, colored chromolithographs and text illustrations in wood engraving.
