Mic Sokoli (born 1839 in Fang near Bujan, Ottoman Empire , today the municipality of Tropoja in northern Albania ; died April 20, 1881 near Slivova, today's Kosovo) was an Albanian nationalist and independence fighter . He belonged to the League of Prizren , which campaigned for the autonomy of Albanian-settled areas in the Ottoman Empire.

As the leader of guerrilla troops, Mic Sokoli was involved in some fighting, such as the Gjakova uprising against Mehmet Ali Pasha . He also fought against Montenegrin troops in Plav and Gusinje ( see Battle of Nokšić ). However, Mic Sokoli achieved decisive fame and admiration through the battle near the village of Slivova near Ferizovići (today Ferizaj ). Here he stood with his chest in front of a cannon of the Ottoman army , which subsequently hit and killed him.

Kulla by Mic Sokoli in Tropoja

Mic Sokoli received the “Heroi i Popullit” award, which is the highest awarded by the Albanian state. He is also depicted on Ferizaj's coat of arms.

The Kulla of Mic Sokoli , the residential tower of the family, can be visited at his birthplace today. In the 1970s, the dilapidated building was restored and converted into a museum to mark the centenary of the League of Prizren.
