The Kaipan 57 is a roadster from the Czech car manufacturer Kaipan , which has been sold since 2002. The two-seater is powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine from Audi . The engine has an output of 110 kW (150 hp) and a maximum torque of 210 Nm. In contrast to the other currently offered Kaipan models 14 and 16 , the rear wheels of the 57 are driven . In order to achieve the lowest possible weight, the body of the Kaipan 57 is made of plastic . The Roadster is similar to the Lotus Seven and is also available as a kit to build yourself.
