Kaipan sro is a Czech manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
The company was founded in 1991 in Prague to manufacture automobiles. The first prototype was presented in 1992. Series production began in 1997. The brand name is Kaipan . In 2003 the company moved to Smržovka .
vehicles
The company makes roadsters that are similar to the Lotus Seven . On a tubular frame is a body made of plastic mounted. The first model 47 was powered by a Ford engine with a capacity of 2000 cc and 105 hp . The subsequent model, the Kaipan 57 , is powered by a four-cylinder engine from Audi . The engine with 1781 cc and 150 hp has five-valve technology and a turbocharger . The Kaipan 14 followed in 2006 with a 1.3-liter engine from Škoda . The Kaipan 16 has been part of the range since 2012 .
