MTX spol. sro is a Czech manufacturer of automobiles . The company specializes in conversions for police vehicles and the repair of historic racing and sports cars.
Company history
The company was founded in 1969 in Prague as a workshop. Initially, Škoda and Lada vehicles were converted into racing cars. In 1970 the first in-house design of a racing car followed. The brand name is MTX . With the introduction of the market economy , the field of activity changed. Since then, one focus has been on the development and production of road vehicles in small series. In total, over 170 prototypes , racing and sports cars have already been built .

The MTX 1-01 was created from 1970 with a Škoda engine for the Formula Easter racing series. The models 1-02, 1-03, 1-04, 1-05, 1-06, 1-07, 1-08 and 1-09 followed.
MTX Tatra V8
This was a Tatra- based sports car , developed from 1989 and presented in 1991. The technician was Václav Král. The production of 100 vehicles was planned. The actual number was considerably smaller.
Roadster and Cabriolet
Starting in 1990, the company manufactured convertible conversions based on the Škoda Favorit .
Beach buggy
This model had a tubular frame. A four-cylinder engine from the Ford Fiesta with a displacement of 1100 cm³ provided the drive . The open body made of plastic offered space for 2 + 2 people.
