Favorit, Stavba motorů a vozidel G. Kroboth was a Czechoslovakian manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Gustav Kroboth founded the company in Šternberk in 1928 with financial help from the wool manufacturer K. Grohmann. An automobile was presented in the same year. Series production began in 1930. The brand name was Favorit . Production ended in 1933. Other sources give the construction period between 1931 and 1932. A total of about 150 copies were made. After the Second World War, Gustav Kroboth again manufactured motor vehicles in his new company, vehicle and mechanical engineering Gustav Kroboth in Seestall .

The only model was a sporty small car. For the drive was provided by a water-cooled single-cylinder - two-stroke engine . A 84 mm bore and 100 mm stroke resulted in a displacement of 554 cm³ . The engine output was 10 hp . The engine was mounted in the front of the vehicle. The vehicle had a central tubular frame and a rear swing axle. The vehicle length was 320 cm, the vehicle width 130 cm and the vehicle height 140 cm. The new price was 14,950 Czechoslovak crowns for the roadster . There was also a version with a hardtop or a convertible for 19,000 crowns.
