Továrna na automobily a automobilní příslušenství was a Czechoslovak manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

B. Pánek , who previously sold Laurin & Klement vehicles , founded the company in Rakovník in 1921 and began manufacturing automobiles. The brand name was Sfinx . The designer was Josef Bauer, who previously worked for a French automobile manufacturer. Production ended in 1923. In total, only a few copies were made.

The only model was a cycle car . A water-cooled two - cylinder engine provided the drive . The engine output was 12 hp . The engine was mounted in the front of the vehicle. A transverse leaf spring at the front and four quarter-elliptical springs at the rear provided the suspension.

Racing

The vehicles were also used in car races. The race from Karlsbad to Mariánské Lázně and back to Karlsbad is named.
