Michał Żyguliński

Michał Żyguliński (in the shorthand protocol of the Imperial Councilor Michael Zygulinski ; born September 15, 1864 in Łęg ad Partyń, today Łęg Tarnowski, Żabno municipality , Galicia; † November 21, 1912 in Kraków ) was a Polish priest, theologian and politician in Imperial Austria.

Life

The son of a farmer attended elementary school in Łęg ad Partyń and then until 1885 the grammar school in Tarnów . From 1885 to 1886 he studied law at the University of Krakow , but did not graduate. From 1886 to 1890 he attended the seminary in Tarnów, after which he studied theology , philosophy and canon law at the Collegium Polonicum in Rome . In 1892 he received his doctorate in theology, doctor of philosophy and doctor of canon law. In the same year he was ordained a priest.

In 1893 he became vicar in Bochnia , in 1894 professor of philosophy and fundamental theology at the seminary in Tarnów, until 1897 he was also prefect of studies there.

In 1881 he founded the workers' trade association in Tarnów . From 1906 to 1912 he was a member of the Tarnów District Council and from 1909 to 1912 its chairman. From 1901 to 1911 he was a member of the 10th and 11th legislative periods of the Imperial and Royal Imperial Council , in which he belonged to the Polish Conservatives.
