Michael Barrymore

Michael Barrymore , actually Michael Ciaran Parker (born May 4, 1952 in London ) is a British television presenter , actor and comedian .

Life

After graduating from school, Barrymore worked in various West End theater shows in London . There he met the dancer Cheryl St Claire in 1974 , whom he married in 1976. In 1979 Barrymore won on the British television program New Faces . With this win on this talent show, he became popular on British television in the years that followed. Barrymore was often represented in the 1980s in the British television program Blankety Blank and in the British television program The Generation Game by Larry Grayson to see. As a result of his television appearances, Barrymore received his own television show, The Michael Barrymore Show . On the British television station ITV , Barrymore rose to become a television host of various entertainment shows, including Strike It Lucky , the talent show My Kind of People and the game shows My Kind of Music and Kids Say the Funniest Things .

In 1995, at the height of his career as a television presenter, Barrymore came out . Barrymore's marriage to Cheryl St Claire was divorced in 1997. Barrymore's partner since 1997 is Shaun Davis , with whom he moved to New Zealand in 2003 .

In 2005 Barrymore was seen on the British television program Celebrity Big Brother on Channel 4 television.
