Michael Binz (* 1987 in Cologne ) is a German filmmaker.

Life

After various internships in film productions, Binz began studying at the Art Academy for Media in Cologne in 2008 , which he completed in 2014. With his documentary Placebus - Waiting for Godot's Bus he was able to win the video competition "nrw.spot 2011" of the Grimme Institute in Marl . In 2015 Binz received the audience award for the best short film at the Max Ophüls Festival 2015 with Herman the German .
