Michael D'Andrea

Michael D'Andrea is a  CIA officer . Since 2017 he has headed their Iran Mission Center. He was instrumental in the manhunt for Osama bin Laden and in the  targeted killings by combat drones. According to Russian intelligence sources, d'Andrea is said to have died when a US reconnaissance plane was shot down over Afghanistan on January 27, 2020.

Life

D'Andrea grew up in Northern Virginia. He met his wife, Faridah Currimjee, while working for the CIA abroad, and converted to  Islam in order to marry her. His wife is the daughter of a wealthy Muslim family from Mauritius .
